I believe that musical instruction is beneficial to everyone, from the specially gifted to the musically challenged. Music has been proven to benefit brain development in the very young, aid in acquiring higher test scores in school-age children, and improve cognitive skills.  Music is expression of one's own feelings. I believe music is one of the best ways to communicate.

I use a method that teaches music theory, piano technique, ear training and sight reading. As students advance, a classical repertoire is introduced. By keeping up with theory, piano technique, scales and arpeggios, and Hannon exercises, the agility to play all kinds of styles can be achieved. Students experience firsthand that music is a creative art as well as an interpretive art. They learn how to express themselves through artistic performances of various styles of music.
